How Karoline Leavitt, Press Secretary for Trump, and Her Husband Nicholas Riccio Transformed Their Lives from Homelessness to a Thriving Real Estate Business
Karoline Leavitt, at 27, made history as the youngest individual to serve as President Donald Trump’s White House press secretary, a milestone made possible with the support of her husband, Nicholas Riccio, who is 32 years her senior.
The mother of one garnered significant attention during her inaugural appearance in the Washington, D.C. briefing room on January 28, where her poise and confidence captivated viewers.
Leavitt quickly discovered that being in the limelight of the political arena comes with its challenges, particularly the intense scrutiny and criticism she has faced since assuming her role.
However, she is well-equipped to handle pressure, having started her career as an intern at Fox News and later running for Congress at the age of 25.
Although her campaign for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives as the Republican nominee for New Hampshire’s 1st District did not succeed, it certainly elevated her profile within conservative circles and sparked interest in her personal life, particularly her marriage to local real estate entrepreneur Riccio, who is 59.
Leavitt has previously noted that her husband values his privacy and prefers to stay away from social media.
Despite not being a public figure, Riccio is regarded as a local icon in New Hampshire, where he has established a multimillion-dollar real estate portfolio, realizing a dream he had since childhood. The mother of one garnered significant attention when she made her first appearance in the briefing room on January 28, impressing viewers with her poise and maturity. Despite currently enjoying a life of affluence, Riccio—whose net worth is estimated at $6 million according to Distractify—did not attain his success without challenges. Just weeks prior to her assumption of the role of White House press secretary, Leavitt expressed her eagerness to return to the White House, while also acknowledging her anxiety about potentially missing precious moments with her son. One follower inquired, “Are you concerned about the job’s demands and missing time with your son?”
Leavitt responded, “Absolutely. I pray about this every day. It’s quite challenging, but it’s also all I’ve ever known.
“I returned to work just days after giving birth. I have learned to juggle multiple responsibilities and manage my time effectively.
“I am also thankful for my wonderful husband and family who support me. I couldn’t do this without them.
“I remind myself that this position is temporary, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I believe that one day he will be proud of his mother.”
Leavitt also provided insight into her experiences working for Trump and her preparations for the upcoming relocation.
“We are in the process of moving. I previously lived in D.C. and worked in the White House during President Trump’s first term, so I am familiar with the city and excited to return,” she shared.
